Week 1
- Reservation fee paid and paperwork completed.
- Send written instructions to your solicitor.
- Pay local search fee via your solicitor.
- Mortgage application made and survey fee paid.
- Your purchase is confirmed to all parties.
Week 2
- Your solicitor will be sent the draft contract
- Your mortgage application should now be processed.
- An appointment should be made by the mortgage company’s surveyor to carry out the survey.
- Your solicitor should now apply for the local search.
- Your mortgage company will normally write to your employer for references.
Week 3
- Your mortgage company should now have all references, survey report and will be preparing the formal mortgage offer.
- Your solicitor will be raising enquiries with Amberley’s solicitor.
- All purchaser selections should be made and finalised with your sales consultant.
Week 4
- You will receive your formal mortgage offer which you should check, sign and return to your mortgage company.
- Your solicitor should now be in receipt of the local search and a copy of your mortgage offer.
- You will either receive the report on title and contract to sign or be invited to see your solicitors at their office.
Once you have signed the contract and paid any deposit monies, you will now be at the point to exchange contracts. At exchange of contracts, your new Amberley home will be finalised into the completion schedule, and moving-in dates can be agreed with all parties.
